FISHING REPORT
4/28/16 9:06 AM CST
After being down south for 4 months I`m having trouble staying warm in Wisconsin. When will it get warm ! Yes this is a fishing report and I`m really having trouble watching guys keeping the 8" Walleyes !!!! No I`m not on the lake yet, still struggling on the river with white bass and staying warm but will be on the lake next warm day with some wind.

So fellow trollers lets show those idiots on the river we can do better than 8" walleyes , that goes for you guides also!!

Hey guys just have a question. I know there has to be some panfish, crappie etc. on Poygan. As it's not the typical smaller north woods type lake I was wondering how to target these fish out here. Last year I tried finding some little inlets and around the lake where people keep their boats and casting toward docks etc. Do you guys have any experience or tips on fishing for bluegill perch and crappie. Not looking for anyone's hot spot just some ideas to try in spring.

Thanks in advance and hopefully it warms up soon!

Not a report, but does anyone have water temp for the lake? Hoping to get out soon if the temps are decent.

Just an FYI, I was out at my cottage yesterday finishing up my dock, and I can confirm that the dock is in at the landing off MM where the Duck Inn used to be. I didn't see many boats out on the lake but when I dropped the boat in and went for a little ride, there where a lot of boats just south of the bridge in Winnecone.

I will though plan on being out Saturday morning and Sunday, assuming the wife lets me go Wink Not sure yet on what to fish if I'll be pulling Salmo's or crawler harnesses. Still a week away though Crying

Tight lines!!

Jheng, The white bass run won't happen for a while. They say that it is usually around the time that the lilacs bloom. I find that it starts a little bit earlier than that. Who knows what it will be with the way the weather is this year. When the white bass are running you'll find them through the whole system. The mostFish are caught north of Fremont. you'll see a ton of people posting when the white bass run is on.

The Winnebago system is hit or miss, watch the fishing reports, talk to the bait shops, keep moving! Eventually you'll come across fish : ) Don't expect to learn this system in a weekend, be patient.
