I agree with swept away. I put in on the west end and it was a little rough with a south wind. Got two eyes, one on a flicker and the other on a spinner in 6 fow. Also 3 whites, 1 cat, and a few goats. Never left the west end.

Having a hell of time finding walleyes on Lake Poygan. I have tried drifting, trolling, and bobbers at the weed beds. Still not any luck. Any ideas?

Good morning fishing bottom bouncers with glo spins. Got nine nice eyes. A 28, 26, 25, 23, 2-21, rest around 18. Had to search a little for them. Most caught on transition areas between eight and six foot. Speed was a little faster also. Only saw six other boats. Don't know why no one is fishing. Tried pan fish yesterday with no real luck there.

fished with the wingman (GRUMPY) sunday afternoon on the home waters. She was a little lumpy out there but GRUMPY say`s (wind to the walleye is like whiskey to a sailor.)

We ended up with 4 eyes, 2 pike and 1 crappie. Had a couple of eyes get off on the way in.

The pike are really coming on strong the last couple of weeks. I have been bit off 4 times in the last 5 trips out.

Blue was again the best color.

Fishing last weekend was good. Pulled harnesses thru the weeds between the cut and the mouth. Got a limit of eyes and northern. Eyes were between 17 and 23. Northern were 33 and 36. Went out this morning with the neighbor and got limit of eyes, some crappie, some cats, and even a few perch. This time was in norwiegn bay but still all crawler harnesses. This has been an excellent year.

Fished in the Captains Cove Tournament with Grumpy on Saturday.

WE dominated with the most points and biggest walleye.(22.75)

Most fish caught on copper and or brown versions of the #5 flicker shad. Speeds were also a factor for us, we slowed down our presentations to 1.5-1.7 on gps. Most larger fish were caught early before the clouds moved out and the wind was se. Later when the wind picked up and clouds moved in there was another good bite. Location was east 1/2 of Horseshoe Hole.

For those that may be interested next years tournament will be the last Saturday in June. After we Register the fish we clean and Cook them up for all the people in the tournament. It is unique in that each species has a point value.

I know what you all think about the Captain and your right, but he seems to put on his smiley face the day of hid tournament.

Applesinmypie. you are something else. had 20 walleyes Saturday. all on salmos 35 feet back in 8-9 fow. Sunday the bite that I was on was not there any more. switched things up a bit, caught fish in shallow water, 5-6 fow only 18 feet back. I caught too many limits this year. If you have that much problems catching fish right now you may have the wrong hobby.
