Never fished Poygan before. Does it get a lot of algae that makes fishing rough and if so when does it normally happen. Lund

A glo spin is a colored float with built in blades that causes the float to spin when moving. Use them with your crawler harness or other live bait. Best when trolled slow. They work great in the river on river rigs. Can catch just about anything on them.

If your new to harnesses I would recommend bottom bouncers on you boards. We use three and four foot leader line and that should be fine. Color is the big thing lately. Chrome and red is good also chrome and blue that is for crappie and walleye. Orange and chartreuse is good for whites and cats. Speed should very between one one and one seven. You have to mix it up to find what they want. Southwest corner is good for crappie and cats also mid lake in front of river channel. Walleye key to cane beds in six to eight foot also work south shore and go up and down the humps.

Good luck tomorrow

Just have a few ?'s I'm planning on going out on Tuesday morning if conditions permit and I have read through the good reports made by others. THANK YOUs to all who take the time to do this.

Looking to try a little of everything from harnesses, cranks, spinner casting, maybe even some slips around weed beds/canes. Spoke to Chico late last week and he said cats and panfish bite picking up in the river but not much on the lake bite.

So, when trolling harnesses how are you guys doing it? Like how much weight on line, using in-line keel weights or ?? I have never trolled harnesses before so thinking/hoping I can get a few pointers. I have no flicker shads but plenty of shad raps and other cranks. Catfish sound like they are cooperating pretty good and don't mind catching a few of them also so whatever tips/pointers you have they will be very welcomed and needed.

Thanks and happy to give tips on some trout spots in Central WI or general fishing on Shawano Lake.

Well the bug finally got us this morning. Fish all over and only managed three eyes, six cats, three whites, one crappie, one sucker. Walleye were from nineteen down to fourteen. Was pulling harnesses, glo spins, and tail dancers. Whites are very thick in spots and can be caught very easy if fishing just under the surface with rooster tails.

I agree with swept away. I put in on the west end and it was a little rough with a south wind. Got two eyes, one on a flicker and the other on a spinner in 6 fow. Also 3 whites, 1 cat, and a few goats. Never left the west end.

Having a hell of time finding walleyes on Lake Poygan. I have tried drifting, trolling, and bobbers at the weed beds. Still not any luck. Any ideas?

Good morning fishing bottom bouncers with glo spins. Got nine nice eyes. A 28, 26, 25, 23, 2-21, rest around 18. Had to search a little for them. Most caught on transition areas between eight and six foot. Speed was a little faster also. Only saw six other boats. Don't know why no one is fishing. Tried pan fish yesterday with no real luck there.
