Going to poygan for first time this year. Usually fish the bay but with east winds not taking a chance. are the docks in by old duck in? If not what's best place to launch

The docks are not in at the County MM / Old Duck Inn landing as of yesterday. No problem getting a Deep V in and out but be careful rounding the rock break wall as the water is still quite shallow. Also, if it is windy like it was yesterday, it is quite a challenge launching without the docks in.

Sorry for the non- report. Just wondering if anyone knows if the dock is in at the cty boat landing where the Duck Inn used to be. Also has the water come up enough to get a boat in there. Thanks

The trolling bite never really stops its just the ice that screws everything up.When its cold slow down and down size your baits in the spring.

For all u wondering about the bite I haven't been out there yet but I can guarantee u that there is a bite going on in Poygan. If you look back the PWT had several early tournaments actually a week earlier then this and fish were caught like crazy. One hint is look for warmer and cleaner water and the fish run high in the column so run some shallow cranks. Use your locators just don't go out set up and expect to catch fish also nightcrawlers are working. The fish are spawning and some are spawned out they have slid out to the first flats off the river and with the warmer temps they will put on the feed bag. The numbers are still in the river and I like to vertical jig so will concentrate on the river I know I can catch fish on Poygan and Have the Aim tournament at the end of the month and will spend my time out there good luck

Few more things to do and the boat goes in Poygan next weekend. Hoping the water comes up by then. I use the Co landing on the south shore. keep us posted if you go out water level and stuff. Nice to get the motors ran and bugs worked out. Good luck

Used to come up to Poygan every year for white bass in the spring with my dad, was thinking about coming up this spring with my son. Is the "when the lilacs bloom" thing still pretty accurate? Thanks.
